Opening of Online School Selection Portal by WAEC

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has opened the online school selection portal for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates. This platform allows for the capture and upload of candidates’ school choices electronically.

The portal will be active from Thursday, 24th July to Friday, 8th August 2025.

Private BECE candidates are instructed to make their school selections online by visiting www.waecinternetsolution.org. They must use their Index Numbers and Dates of Birth as login credentials (username and password respectively).

All Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education have been advised to work closely with Examination Coordinators to ensure smooth monitoring and supervision of this critical process. Heads of Junior High Schools are also encouraged to ensure accurate and timely data entry within their jurisdictions.

Regional Directors are to circulate this directive to all schools and ensure strict adherence to the timelines to guarantee a successful outcome.
